odinsblog:

So let me get this straight: the Ferguson PD took the time to write an overly detailed, 18 page police report for the ALLEGED petty theft of $49 dollars worth of cigars, but they didn’t even fill out an incident report for Darren Wilson shooting Mike Brown dead? A two page (mostly blank) report for a shooting death, and an 18 page report for cigars??? The Ferguson PD didn’t cover Mike Brown’s body, they left Mike Brown’s body out on the street for nearly four hours, they didn’t write a police report at the scene, they immediately launched a campaign to smear Mike Brown posthumously…does any of that sound even remotely legit?

Let’s review:

1. the Ferguson police didn’t even full out the Mike Brown murder incident report until ten full days after the shooting

2. when they finally got around to filling out the police report, the ONLY info they completed was the name of the victim, the shooter, and the date they filled out the “report”. that’s it. that’s all

image

3. Missouri has an open “sunshine law” that requires them to make nearly any police reports publicly available immediately, so for over ten days they violated that law too

4. [EDIT] Most importantly let’s never forget what caused this needless death murder - Darren Wilson racially profiled, then stopped, then harassed, then fatally shot Mike Brown 6 times for the “crime” of walking-while-Black, aka jay walking, NOT for alleged petty theft, because at the time Wilson had no idea about any cigars or any alleged theft

Ferguson is a perfect example of a sundown town, and from beating up innocent Black drivers, to repeatedly tear gassing and threatening unarmed protesters to routinely racially profiling and profiting off of Black drivers, Ferguson is showing over and over just how little they truly value Black lives

#Darren Wilson is a dirty cop #The Ferguson PD is corrupt #This is what a police coverup looks like

#ArrestDarrenWilsonNOW

If…IF there’s even just one honest cop in the Ferguson PD, now is the time to step up

I may always reblog every gifset/imageset I see of this scene, if only to point out (over and over and over again) that Black Widow’s “very specific skillset” is not, actually, ass-kicking (as amazing as she is at that), because all the Avengers can kick ass to a pretty high degree. The Black Widow’s superpower (as it were) is emotional manipulation.

She is not interrogating this man not while tied to a chair. She is tied to a chair because that is exactly where she wants to be, because apparent vulnerability on her part is part of her interrogation. She uses the exact same trick on Loki later, when she leads him into gloating over having successfully pushed her buttons (and I have a theory that he did actually push her buttons, that she was genuinely distressed by the things he said to her because Loki is old enough and smart enough to know when someone is lying to him) and turns his gloating around on him, uses it to dig into the cracks of him, because that is what she does, and she can do it even when her target is expecting it. (Really, Loki knows that’s why she’s there. He was expecting to be physically tortured first, and for her to come be sympathetic later, if you recall, but Loki and Widow both know that wouldn’t work.)

And this is why she’s so unsettled by the Hulk. The Black Widow relies on emotional manipulation — and the Hulk, to the best of her knowledge, only has varying shades of a single emotion: anger. She doesn’t know how to manipulate a creature if it doesn’t have all the hooks to emotions like pride and lust and guilt and greed that she’s used to using.

Cash raised for killer Mo. cop now surpasses Brown donations
August 24, 2014

Online fundraisers for Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson surpassed the amount of money raised for Michael Brown’s family as the officer’s supporters gathered at an afternoon rally Saturday.

Supporters of Wilson, the police officer who shot and killed Michael Brown in Ferguson, Mo., came toBarney’s Sports Pub in south St. Louis.

"Many of us have received death threats toward ourselves and our families," said one speaker, wearing sunglasses, paint beneath her eyes and a baseball cap. "We will not hide. We will no longer live in fear … If you support Darren Wilson, make your voices heard."

She refused to give the media her name, saying “You want my name? I am Darren Wilson. We are Darren Wilson.

The media has shown a strong bias against Wilson supporters, the speaker said, drawing loud applause from the crowd.

"We share the united belief that officer Wilson’s actions on Aug. 9 were warranted and justified and he has our unwavering support," the woman said.

A crowd-funding page created for Wilson raised $235,010 from 5,902 people before organizers stopped accepting donations Friday after surpassing their goal of $100,000 in four days. The group then opened a new fundraising page, which already has more than $104,000.

This amount surpasses the more than $214,000 raised in support of the Michael Brown Memorial Fund. According to the page, which was set up by Brown family lawyer Benjamin Crump, “the funds will assist his family with costs that they will acquire as they seek justice on Michael’s behalf.”

The Support Darren Wilson group, which has more than 58,000 likes on Facebook, encouraged supporters who could not attend the rally to “blow up some Twitter accounts” with photos of supporters and the hashtag #‎iamdarrenwilson.

Disheartening (though unsurprising) and thoroughly disgusting!

As the situation in Ferguson continues to be horrible, this is just one of many things that… You know what, is just so awful. It’s so awful. There is no reason to be financially or emotionally supporting a murderer, no matter your political or religious stance. I want to say I “can’t believe” it’s happening, but of course I can. It’s just awful. How can people be so cruel?

Like most, I’m just watching these events from afar, feeling helpless, donating where I can to help Ferguson and its people. It never feels like enough, though.

MARINA’S FINALLY MOVING FUCK YEAH

I CAN GET A LAZY IN MY TOWN NOW

"Turn left. You monster."
“Oh, you missed your turn. That’s alright. It’s not like I gave you an advanced warning or anything. Oh wait. I did. Three of them.”
“Now I have to recalculate the entire route. Again. By myself.”
“Congratulations.  You’ve gotten us so lost even I don’t know where we are.” *slow clap*
